Nominating Committee
There shall be a Senate Nominating Committee consisting of six members of the Senate elected by the Senate. The Senate Nominating Committee is charged with the following responsibilities:
- Nominations for the Faculty Review Board election ballot
- Nominations for the Committee of Three election ballot
- Nominations for the University Senate Faculty at-Large and Professional Staff at-Large election ballots
- Recommendations of appointments to University Senate Standing Committee Membership rosters; these rosters are approved by the full Senate by vote on an annual basis
- Appointments to University Senate Ad Hoc Committees, as needed
- Appointments to University Senate Standing Committees during the academic year due to absence, as needed

Two members from the most recently elected class of Senators are elected each year by the voting members of the Senate. The by-laws, rules, and regulations also state that at least one and not more than two members of the Nominating Committee must be from the professional staff constituencies.
