Budget Transformation Initiative Open Meeting Hosted by the SEC

The Senate Executive Committee (SEC) in partnership with faculty representatives to the Budget Transformation Initiative (BTI) Working Groups hosted an open meeting on January 21, 2026 to discuss the work of the BTI working groups. Attendees were also invited to ask questions and engage in discussion about the work of this initiative.

Upcoming University Senate Elections: Spring 2026

University Senate elections for the Spring 2026 semester will begin in late January for the following constituencies:

Faculty:

  • CLAS
  • CAHNR
  • School of Business
  • Neag School of Education
  • College of Engineering
  • School of Law
  • School of Nursing
  • School of Pharmacy
  • Regional Campus: Hartford Faculty
  • Regional Campus: Stamford Faculty

Staff:

  • University Support Services
  • Regional Campus: Hartford Staff
  • Regional Campus: Stamford Staff

Other:

  • Deans (now inclusive of Campus Deans)

All faculty or staff who are eligible to vote in each respective constituency election will receive a nominating slate via email in late January, and voters will be asked to select their top nominees. Nominees may also be selected by petition via email to universitysenate@uconn.edu. Any petition must be endorsed by five (5) members of the constituency in support of a candidate and submitted before the nominating slate has closed. The results of this nomination voting process will determine a shortened list of nominees to be sent out in early February on a voting slate. The results of the voting slate will determine the winner(s) for each election, and results will be published on the University Senate website.
